Armed Robbers have attacked St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School campus at Apowa in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region.
Two students who were at the dormitory has been butchered seriously by the armed robbers. The students were asleep when the incident occurred.
The incident occurred on the ground floor of House 5 on the dawn of Sunday, 10th November 2019.
Only a few people were in the school at the time of the assault due to the school closing down for vacation a couple of days before the attack.
Alhassan Magid Abdul and Osmond Osie, the assaulted students were among the few students left on campus at the time of the attack
Reacting to the sad news, the PTA Chairman of the School said,
It’s sad news. They were seriously butchered.
The two students were first rushed to Kwesimintsim District Hospital for medical attention but they were later transferred to Interbetin Hospital in Cape Coast due to the severity of the injuries inflicted on the students.
As of now, the Kwesimintsim District Police Command has arrested one person in connection with the attack. He is assisting investigations to arrest the remaining two armed robbers
