The reason behind his decision was to help reduce the spread of the outbreak(COVID-19). He also made it clear that he was not in the business for profit making but once again, to help reduce the spread of the corona virus.
He further made it clear that the Doctors and Nurses who would work in the designated Hospitals would be paid directly from his account.
He poured out his heart recently in a letter he brought out concerning the outbreak and further encourage the world to stay calm.
He also sent his prayers to the patients suffering from the virus and wished them a speady recovery.
He also made it known that this project would begin in Portugal.
