Forever; Samini Diss Stonebwoy And Shatta Wale.

Things doesn’t seem to sit well with godfather of Dancehall, Samini Dagaati after Asaase FM made a huge announcement to have Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale battle themselves out in a reggae dancehall Sound Clash.

Samini has made several tweets and videos to get the attention of the masses but his efforts are still unnoticed.

In the series of his posts and videos, there’s been one particular message that cuts accross.

That is, Stonebwoy has been very ungrateful to him and the high grade family that groomed him to become whom he is today.

It was alleged that, Shatta Wale who owes him and his brand nothing called to inform him about the big deal they won with Asaase FM instead of Stonebwoy, “his son”.

Samini Dagaati has been talked to, to let go of this but he’s not willing to.

This has led his fans and fans from the two camps to speculate that some lines from his “Forever” song is a diss song for both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for feasting off his sweat.

In the song, he says:

● “Old gee play tactic again. Make di dancehall active again” – he crowns himself as pioneer of dancehall who has all the tactics so he’s the only one with the keys to make Dancehall active again.

One of the reasons for the Asaase Sound Clash was to help package Dancehall and make It attractive to the cooperate world so that dancehall can be active and refreshing.

But Samini rebuts it and loud it that Stonebwoy and Shatta wale can never make it active without him.

“Rastaman throw me corn, Me nuh call no fowl, And it ketch traffic again” – here he says he was the only person who brought Dancehall without anyone’s support yet he succeeded in making it stand firm and attractive enough to catch all the traffic around it has now.

Samini’s single, Forever.

“Yeh dema wa me dead and gone But dem can’t take me out of di race. Jah make me King forever. King forever!” -we assume that this is a subtle shot to Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who’re the reigning Dancehall kings that they want him dead and out of the race. He then console himself that, God has made him King and no matter who reigns currently, he is still the King.

“Man coded, vibes overloaded. Encyclopedia anytime man speak
Dancehall Archimedes, Dancehall black belt. Dancehall Bruce Lee. Kick dancehall like pele kick ball. Box dem lyrics like Mohamed Ali” -Samini brags that whenever he speaks, he spits encyclopedia. He still has lots of lyrics. he gives himself titles which proves that, physically, mentally, lyrically, spiritually, Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale can never stand him.

The summary of his lyrics proves one thing. And that is, Samini is not ready to back off. He cannot afford to allow the two have the moment he created.

Samini

He continues to prove a point that, he is the overall boss and he cannot be boss’d around.

Do you think the song is a diss song for Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy? What do you think could have gone wrong between Samini and Shatta-Stone? Is the soundcloash the main reason behind this or there’s more we’re yet to hear?
