Perhaps you have been urged to put forth more effort to do better In school or a particular particular subject. But what if the pressure to measure up overwhelms you and makes you want to quit?
With the right measures in place, you can skyrocket to do better and become the best student version of yourself. Let’s consider these measures.
Set A motivation: why do you want to do better in school?, keep that at the back of your head and revisit it anytime you feel like giving up.
This is would serve as a tool to motivate you to buckle up whenever you try and fail.
Good Study Habits; There is no shortcut to do better in school. Sooner or later, you’ll have to learn . Granted, that very word may have an unpleasant ring to to it. However studying is beneficial, in fact with just a little effort, you’ll start enjoying it.
You have to organize your time and allocate a portion for studies and make it a point to obey the time for studies. Consider a student named Ruth who struggled to make studies a habit.
She says; my grades were bad and i wanted to make them better. Anytime i tried to study, i loose interest or fall asleep but i kept trying until i now i love studying. My grades are also better now.
A Healthy Attitude Toward Learning; it is hard to do better in school if you have a negative view of learning . So try and view the bigger picture.
Seeing the value of why you need to learn and study some subjects may be difficult especially because not everything in the curriculum may seem relevant — at least not for now but it is very essential to see the value.
Doing well in every subject constitutes to doing better in school. With that being said, respect every subject the same way and give special attention to where you fall short.
A positive View Of Your Strength ; Don’t put yourself down by thinking you’re simply not capable of improving and doing better in school.
When you get negative thinking, replace it with positive thinking. This is why you need to know your strengths and weaknesses towards learning and tailor your studies to suit you.
Try and answer these questions , what are my strengths? What are my weakness? Why do i always feel like i can’t improve?
In answering this questions, try to proof yourself right.
Engage Yourself In Class; engaging in class discussions by answering questions and asking questions is a great way to keep majority of what the teacher teaches in memory.
Pay attention in class, engage yourself and in no time, you’d see that you’re doing better.
