Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelyvn Boy, walks out of the venue for the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards event after losing the Afrobeat song of the year category to newbies Dope Nation.
The 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has come to an end and that has seen some artistes emerging as winners from the awards ceremony.
This night’s show is the second phase of the 3-day event which started yesterday, where Burna Boy, Cina Soul, Okyeame Kwame, MOG Music among others made it into the first list of winners.
Tonight’s show which was hosted by Berla Mundi and KOD saw Kuami Eugene winning the biggest award after he also emerged winner of the Highlife Artiste of the Year category.
Kwesi Arthur won rapper of the Year with Ras Kuuku and Fameye winning Reggae Dancehall Act and Afrobeats Song of the Year – Zanku, Dope Nation.
At day one of the 3-day event, Kelvyn during his performance mentioned that his ”Mea” song deserved the award.
Unfortunately, the pundits and the voters did not agree as Dope Nation clinched the award with their nationwide banger, Zanku.
From excerpts taken from the ongoing event, the former signee of Burniton Music Group owned by Reggae and Dancehall act Stonebwoy left with his team after Dope Nation claimed their award.
