Most people are confused as to the meaning of the word non-binary, especially when it relates to a kind of gender. This is so, because almost every person believes that there can be only two kinds of gender, either male or female. In other words, most of us are left vague on what exactly this third gender means.
Just recently, a Nigerian lady shared a video of her bare chest stating that she had cut them off because she didn’t need them. According to Linda Ikeji’s blog, the unidentified lady shared a video on Tik Tok, where she showed off her bare chest after cutting off her natural boobs to identify as a non-binary person.
Meanwhile, the few reactions which captured the reactors’ views only serve to confirm the earlier statement that not much is known about this kind of gender. As it seems, while some people saw it as an error for a lady not to have breasts, some others saw it as a big scam. See some reactions below:

To conclude, a non-binary person is a transgender may be a better way of looking at this kind of gender but it is still wrong. According to Health line, non-binary, otherwise called genderqueer is basically a term for gender identities that are neither male nor female.
In other words, non-binary people vary in their gender expressions, and some may reject gender “identities” altogether. This kind of gender ought also to be differentiated from sexual or romantic orientation. In fact, being non-binary is also not the same as being intersex because most intersex people identify as either male or female.
In conclusion, the terms non-binary or genderqueer is used by people, who challenge or do not conform to the binary gender categories of ‘man and woman’; to self – identify.
