Los Angels police officers fired rubber bullet as dozen entered an apartment building seeking refuge with the help of the resident it appeared who opened the door.
One of the hard rubber bullet rounds stuck a homeless man in a wheelchair right above his left eye, drawing blood and large welt.
Offers and then paramedics tended to the man, but his condition was unclear. LAPD spokesman Officer Rosario Cervantes said Wednesday the department had no comment on the incident at this time.
A photo of the man and his injury was being reviewed by the department.
As of 2:15pm Wednesday, the department still count not provide the number of people who were arrested the night before or additional information about the injured man.
