Lionel Messi would prefer Barcelona to bring back his former teammate Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain over Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, reports claims.
La Blaugrana have been on the trail of the Brazilian and the Argentine forwards in recent months ahead of the summer window.
Neymar unceremoniously left the Camp Nou for a world record fee of £197million in 2017 to Parc Des Princes.
On the other hand, Martinez has been tipped to become Luis Suarez’s long term replacement as the Uruguayan has a year left on his contract.
Martinez has a massive £97m release clause in his contract, a figure the Spanish champions are unwilling to fork out.
But it is understood that the Catalan giants are ready to use Nelson Semedo and Carles Alena as part of the deal to sign the 22-year-old.
According to reports in Spain claim Messi would prefer a reunion with Neymar over his fellow countryman Martinez.
A club source reportedly told Spanish Radio station Cadena Ser:
If he had to choose between Lautaro and Neymar, it’s obvious Leo Messi prefers the Brazilian.
The Spanish midfielder had lost a friend Dani Jarque that same year and all he could only do was to wait for the nights to be over so he could rest after getting treatment.
Iniesta has won four Champions League trophies with his boyhood club including nine La Liga titles, two European Championships and the World Cup.
He is mostly remembered for scoring the goal that won Spain their first-ever World Cup trophy in their history in 2010 against the Netherlands.
