MTN, the largest telecommunications network in the subregion has assured its customers through a tweet that it has managed to work on the data challenges.
Their announcement comes as a relief to all MTN customers who for the past few days are unable to use their data to access the internet speedily or to make international outbound calls.
The challenge which affected Mobile Money transactions was experienced not only by Ghana. Other six West African countries had the same challenge including countries in other parts of the continent where MTN is available.
The company earlier attributed the challenge to “a double undersea fibre optic cable cut in Europe which affected six Operators in six West African Countries and beyond.”
However, how great this may sound, many customers are not happy with MTN’s frequent network challenges, especially with the mobile money services.
