The late Ebony Reigns was the first signed artiste under RuffTown Records which is owned by Bullet, a member of the defunct music group, Ruff and Smooth.
Before Wendy Shay, Ebony was the one holding the torch for RuffTown Records, making the record label gain grounds as admitted by Bullet in a couple of interviews.
Wendy Shay in an interview described the role Ebony played which informed her decision to come to Ghana and join RuffTown Records.
According to her, Ebony inspired her a lot back in Germany where she was a nurse, so she decided to come to Ghana and join RuffTown Records because Ebony made her believe she can do it.
