Currently trending on social media is a video of a thief being forced to clean gutters after he was caught stealing.

It appears the practice of jungle justice is slowing fading away from many African society as people are beginning to embrace more practical and creative ways to punish offenders caught in the act.

A thief was recently caught in Adum Kumasi , and rather than apply jungle justice to the situation or hand him over to the police, he was made to clean gutters as his punishment.

The video which has since gone viral on the internet, shows the thief distilling the gutters with his bare hands.

Like the popular saying goes; 99 days for the thief, one day for the owner and in this unfortunate thief’s case, the owner’s day is one he will definitely not forget in a hurry as many hope it will be life changing for him.
