Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe openes up about her failed marriage with her estranged husband Lanre Gentry whom she has two kids with.
The now single mom of two left her husband on grounds of domestic violence.“My first slap from my husband felt like a dream” , she stated.
She revealed this on her recent episode of YouTube vlog’s that She never expected her husband to raise his hands on her.
I was shocked beyond words , i didnt know it was going to happen but it happened and yes, the begging then came after. Because it was my first attempt with marriage, i was ready and willing to make it work, I wanted a happy home.
But the incident that took a toll and broke our marriage was terrible, it was one that I almost died. The beating was terrible.
People often say that celebrities don’t like to stay in a relationship but we want to. Being a celebrity doesn’t mean I’m not human, being a celebrity doesn’t mean i don’t want a happy home.
My break up wasn’t easy because i was a celebrity. When my break up happened, i read lot of articles that even said i made it up. But no one can dictate how i live my life.
She also gave an advice across to all ladies that once a man raises his hands to hit you, he’s going to do it again and again so don’t accept it in your relationship
